VEGAN SAUCES AND SWEET POTATO CHIPS

SWEET POTATO CHIPS

Ingredients:

  • sweet potato
  • olive oil or grapeseed oil
  • garlic powder
  • pepper
  • salt

Procedure:

  1. Wash the sweet potatoes and wipe them. Leave the crust and cut the potatoes as thin as possible.
  2. Put the potatoes in a bowl and sprinkle it with oil and garlic powder. Finally, add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Arrange the sweet potatoes on a baking sheet so that they do not overlap, and put it in the oven that you have previously heated to 200-220°C.
  4. Bake the potatoes for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown, depending on how thinly you cut them.
  5. When the potatoes are ready, take them out of the oven and let them stand for a few minutes before eating to make them extra crispy.

CREAMY HUMMUS

Ingredients:

  • 400gr of cooked chickpeas (from a jar)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • juice of half a lemon
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 3 tablespoons of cold water
  • 3 tablespoons of tahini
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper

Procedure:

  1. Mix cold water, crushed garlic and lemon juice into a blender. Leave this mixture to rest for about 20 seconds, then add the tahini, and once again combine everything in a blender.
  2. Add the rest of the ingredients, and blend everything together until you get a creamy mass.
  3. Pour the hummus into a serving bowl, add over the olive oil and sprinkle a little cumin for an even better taste.

GUACAMOLE

Ingredients:

  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 10-12 pieces of cherry tomatoes
  • juice of half a lime
  • a small bunch of fresh coriander
  • ¼ of onion
  • ½-1 hot pepper (to taste)
  • salt
  • pepper

Procedure:

  1. Peel and hollow the avocado out, then mash it with a fork.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and cherry tomato.
  3. Then chop the coriander and hot pepper, and add them to the mixture. 
  4. Finally, add the spices and lime juice, and stir everything to combine the flavors.

BEAN PATE

Ingredients:

  • 400gr of beans (canned or cooked)
  • 2-3 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of tahini
  • 1 garlic clove or a teaspoon of garlic powder
  • parsley leaf (fresh or dried)
  • chives (fresh or dried)
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • optional: a little lemon juice and onion powder

Procedure:

  1. Add all the ingredients to a blender and mix them. Finally, serve the pate with olive oil.
