VEGAN OATMEAL

INGREDIENTS

Porridge:

  • 60g of finely chopped oatmeal (fine flakes)
  • 150ml of almond milk
  • 150ml of water
  • half a chopped banana
  • half a grated apple
  • 1 teaspoon of peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon of maple syrup (agave or honey syrup)
  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds (previously grounded)
  • pinch of salt

Topping:

  • 1 teaspoon of peanut butter
  • almond leaves
  • chopped hazelnuts
  • bananas, or some other fruit of your choice
  • 50-100ml of almond milk

PROCEDURE

  1. Pour almond milk and water into the pot and put a pinch of salt. Heat the liquid to boiling point, then add the oatmeal, chia and flax seeds. Reduce the heat to a minimum and continue to cook the porridge, stirring constantly. Add apples, bananas, peanut butter and maple syrup, and cook all together for about 5-7 minutes.
  2. If the porridge becomes too thick, gradually add water and continue mixing. With water, you determine the consistency of the porridge to taste.
  3. Pour the porridge into a bowl and pour almond milk over it, then sprinkle with chopped hazelnuts and almond leaves. Finally, add a teaspoon of peanut butter or butter of your choice.
  4. You can also add fruit to your taste.
